The feeling that you get after you do something that tests you physically and mentally is very inspiring!
It motivates you to do more and be a better you, It helps you to believe in yourself! You would be surprised how much you can do if you just push through your comfort zone and get a little uncomfortable… your gonna have to try it and see for yourself!

When you think about doing something that scares you it’s not a good feeling that you get.. don’t you think that you could be limiting yourself from doing something that you might actually enjoy??Sometimes you have to work hard to overcome your fears to be able to get something better in return!

Pine Creek Canyon offers some of the best of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area–beautiful and diverse plant communities nestled at the bottom of monolithic canyon walls. The ponderosa pine forest at the mouth of the canyon is a remnant from the last Ice Age, but it survives here thanks to the cool air and water flowing down Pine. Pine Creek is a beautiful slot canyon with a strange history and some surprises. Pine Creek Canyon itself actually host Highway 9 through Zion National Park, but the slot itself is bypassed by a long tunnel blasted out of the rock in the 1930’s.

The Slot canyon that we did is called Pine Creek Canyon, Its right in Zion National Park. Canyonerring is special because not very many people get to see the Canyons that surround us. There kind of tucked away, you have to search for them and know where to find these special places! The Slot Canyon starts right after the tunnel on the East side of the park.

For this Canyonerring trip we had to have wet suits because the water was a little bit cold* The water that is in the canyon is from all the spring runoff or from the previous thunderstorms. It’s quite the sight to see all the big logs and trees that are lodged in between the canyon walls.. from the thunderstorms and all the water rushing through when it rains. That has to be alot of fast running water if it’s going to rip and tear through the trees!

We rented all our gear from http://m.zionadventures.com

They were awesome! They helped us get everything we needed and the prices were great! We will definitely be using them again next time!

For this slot canyon you will be doing alot of rappelling so make sure you have all the gear for that, there is about 6 reppels. The last reppel is about 120 ft. so if your afraid of heights you might just have to face your fear and get your permit for this canyon!

You do have to have a permit to do this Slot Canyon and heres the link for that.. https://www.nps.gov/zion/planyourvisit/canyoneeringpermits.htm

If there is any chance or rain then it’s better to not do any slot canyons- Make sure you choose your adventures so you can hike another day!
